EPL: Paul Scholes names player who doesn't have quality to stay at Manchester United
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes midfielder Wout Weghorst lacks the level of quality needed to play for the Red Devils after their humiliating 7-0 Premier League loss to Liverpool on Sunday.< /p>
Weghorst has scored just one goal in 14 appearances since joining Man United on loan in the January transfer window.
The Dutch international started in the No.10 role against Liverpool at the weekend but struggled to make an impact before being substituted in the 58th minute.
"Weghorst is in the team to be a defender, really," Scholes told Premier League Productions.
"You're talking about a Manchester United No10 or a centre-forward. He's in the team to be defensive. He's the one who runs and rakes and everyone likes to play with him because that he does that.
"But also in terms of quality, you have to have a certain level of quality to play for Man United... it's not there."
