EPL: Ten Hag tells Rashford one key area he needs to improve for Man Utd
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has asked striker Marcus Rashford to improve his focus on scoring goals for the Red Devils.
Rashford has scored four goals in four appearances for Man United since the restart of the domestic leagues in England following the conclusion of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The England international scored against Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Bournemouth and Burnley.
Speaking ahead of the FA Cup third round tie between Man United and Everton on Friday, Ten Hag believes Rashford can still improve if he follows his advice.
"First of all, always stay focused and it doesn't matter if you're in the game or not in the game, keep focused on the goal," Ten Hag said of Rashford in his press conference pre-game. Thursday.
"A player like Marcus but others in our team - Anthony Martial is the same - when they stay in the game, mentally, focused, 100% focused, they have the skills and only need a moment to change the game in a positive way.
"If he develops this skill, he will score more goals and contribute to a successful season."
