F1 LIVE: Lewis Hamilton's view on partnership with Leclerc as F1 icon hints at change of heart

Lewis Hamilton says he would have told his younger self not to get too caught up in the intensity of F1.

The Briton kicked off as soon as he reached the major leagues, winning the world title in just his second season.

And while Hamilton admits he wouldn't change much about the way things turned out, he admits the fun factor could have been more prevalent early on.

"I wouldn't change it, so I wouldn't really want to go say anything," the 38-year-old told Fox Sports. "I think if I could go back and talk to my younger self, [I would say to] not take things too seriously or take yourself too seriously.

"I think I got so caught up in the intensity of wanting to be perfect and running, running, running, running, I completely isolated myself from the fun things in life that are along the journey. at the same time. So I was like, 'Have fun with it'."
