Fan dies after falling from escalator at Pittsburgh Steelers game

A man who attended the Steelers game on Sunday has tragically died - after officials say the fan fell from an escalator at the Pittsburgh stadium.
The Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety said police and EMS responded to Acrisure Stadium around 4:45 p.m., moments after the Steelers' loss to the Jets, after receiving a "fall from height" call.< /p>
When they arrived at the scene, they said they immediately treated the man...before transporting him to a local hospital.

Unfortunately, authorities say he later died there from his injuries. The identity of the man has not yet been released.
The Steelers said in a statement late Sunday that they are aware of the situation and are "working with local authorities and helping them investigate the matter."
“We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the guest,” the team added.
