Rising Musician IceBeatChillz Debuts With "Afro Got Soul" Concert

Emerging Nigerian afropop singer/producer, IceBeatChillz is about to take the music scene by storm.

On Saturday August 6, the musician hosted a special event titled 'Afro Got Soul: IceBeatChillz Live' poolside at Blowfish Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, to promote his upcoming mini-album titled 'Love is King ".

"I'm just preparing like a newborn. It's just the tip of the iceberg. An EP is coming, it's about showcasing the soulful music of Afrobeats. I'm a musician, people don't really know me, this Afro Got Soul night, the first episode is to showcase my brand as a fully fledged musician, someone who can play keys and still sing I just want people vibrate with us as we work on the EP,” he said.

As a musical prodigy, IceBeatChillz produced the full body of "Love is King" and also plays instruments such as piano, guitar and saxophone on many songs.

Talking about why he only produced the album, IceBeatChillz said, "Actually, many producers wanted to join in the production of the EP, but I decided not to feature any of them. .It's not like I don't want them on, but I feel like I can produce all the tracks on the album and be on my own because it's a free gift from God."

He added, "It's about creating a foundation for people to understand that I'm a major producer."

Emerging from a past of loneliness and wandering, amidst a world of struggle and division, IceBeatChillz offers the world a message of love from the album.

"I sat down and saw that love was all we needed in life. First of all, God himself is love, the woman who truly loves a man, forsakes all and believe in man so much,” the singer said, adding, “Love is king, love leads, the love we have for each other is nothing less than life. we live in. I actually believe that we can always show love to each other, regardless of our ethnic differences and diversities."

IceBeatChillz, a multi-instrumentalist, came into the spotlight when he signed with Crystal Clear Records in 2021.

As an instrumentalist, music producer and entertainer, the romantic crooner saw his career take off with his debut single, “Area,” featuring Jamaican dancehall great, Beenie Man.

The song racked up streams in the last year and hit the UK Music Week Black Music Charts and Pop Charts at No. 7 and 10 respectively, climbing both charts for 9 weeks.

IceBeatChillz's second single, "Bad and Naughty", was self-produced, "Bad and Naughty" featuring Starboy's Terri was picked up by playlist editors TIDAL, VEVO and more.

The song uses the Afro-Pop style that has taken the world by storm and delivers a melody that is sure to get the dance floor bubbling.

As a warm-up for his highly anticipated EP, the versatile and free-spirited soul singer released the fluid and romantic Afrobeat-R&B hybrid single "Special Attention".

Beginning his career as a music producer, IceBeatChillz has produced for several up-and-coming Afrobeats artists, including award-winning Afro-Fuji artist Barry Jhay and recent Billboard Hot 100 topper Tems.
