Hon. Asake, in a speech at the Union of Nigerian Journalists, Kaduna's secretariat said it was true that Nyesom Wike had given 200 million naira to the displaced people.

Asake, while explaining in more detail, said, "Of the money, SOKAPU got 120 million naira, while the sum of 80 million naira was credited to the account of the state chapter. of Kaduna Jamaatul Nasarul Islam (JNI). The money was given to the religious body because in the northern part of the state they don't have a recognized association like ours."

He said, "But once they heard that I was joining politics, some of them started stealing all kinds of things to slander me, that I spent all the money, but It's normal in politics. They also said that I worked for APC. This allegation pained me."

Clarifying the allegation, the former SOKAPU leader noted that when they received their money, they bought assorted cereals and other items for the IDPs and distributed them, saying, "We distributed to people regardless of their religions and tribes".

He added, "Everyone who knows me thinks that I will not indulge in such an act, so I just laughed it off. When I entered politics, I left more than 60 million naira in the coffers of SOKAPU. »
