Ex-Tottenham star highlights 'negative' impact of Conte's deliberation on future

Danny Rose hopes Antonio Conte will make a decision on his future soon, as he recognizes the "negative impact" he could have by deliberating.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the Italian manager with his contract in north London set to run out at the end of the season.

Conte is yet to commit his long-term future to the club, sparking rumors of potential new managers joining the club.

In recent weeks, Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel have been associated with the Tottenham position.

Rose thinks players might be hurt by Conte's lack of long-term commitment, but it's up to them to get the job done.

"I've never been in this position as far as knowing that your manager's contract [is running]," Rose told 90min.

"Four months from now, there's no indication that he'll be signing again. So I guess for me, if I was in that locker room, [you'd be] kind of thinking 'wait a minute' I don't know if he will still be there next season.

"I think it might have an impact. But at the end of the day, at the end of the day, you're a professional athlete, you're a professional gamer, you get paid to do a job.

"So it shouldn't matter in a way. But, you know, in the office as it is, I think it's only natural that it could have a negative impact on you.< /p>

"And for me, I hope he stays. He's obviously without a doubt one of the best in the world. I would like him to stay."

Conte managed to guide Spurs into the top four last season and he currently places them fourth in the Premier League.

Liverpool will feel their chance to pounce as they are only three points behind with a game less.

Rose thinks Conte did well to put Spurs in the top four last season as they were off pace before he joined the club.

"I think he said himself it was a feat, it didn't look very likely when he took over," Rose added.

"Then obviously they had an amazing run. We can't forget that fourth place was up for grabs for Arsenal...but as far as the run they went on, I don't think anyone can tell them. remove that.

"In terms of people thinking Spurs were going to be in the top four when he took over, I would say that was very unlikely. But it's tough."
