Scripts for two episodes of Friends se set in the UK and rescued from a bin sold at auction for £22,000.
A former member of staff at Fountain Studios, Wembley , collected the final versions of season four in 1998 when both episodes were filmed.
Hanson Ross auctioneers in Royston, Hertfordshire, said that bidders had gone "crazy" for the scripts, with the estimate of £600-800 quickly eclipsed. p>
He said they were purchased by an "international online bidder."
No further details were given. from the buyer, but the auction house said competition had been fierce - with 219 pre-sale bids placed around the world.
The hammer price was £22,000. - with fees bringing the total paid by the buyer to £28,864.
