Cops say Gervonta Davis brutalized a woman in Florida on Tuesday afternoon, slapping her with a "closed hand"...and leaving a scratch on the inside of her upper lip.
Officers explained the allegations against the star boxer in court documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, saying the incident occurred at a residence in Parkland around 1:25 p.m.
According to the documents, the 28-year-old fighter "actually and intentionally touched and struck" the woman "against her will" and "intentionally caused her bodily harm".
Police say in the documents that Davis struck the woman on the right side of her head "with a closed hand-type slap." Cops said the woman suffered facial injuries...but was able to leave the house after the altercation.
As we reported, Davis was arrested about an hour after the alleged incident - and charged with domestic violence. Jail records show he is still in custody.
Davis is set to face Hector Luis Garcia in a highly anticipated boxing match on January 7 in Washington D.C.
