The Jollof Wars took an exciting turn as Ghana overtook Nigeria as the country with the most YouTube searches for Jollof rice recipes.
According to video streaming platform YouTube, a subsidiary of popular search engine Google.
According to information released by YouTube on Monday, recent results revealed the top trending search for Jollof Rice.
According to statistics, Ghana is the country that searches for the most Jollof rice, while Edo State has the most searches for Jollof rice in Nigeria.
YouTube shared the stats in commemoration of World Jollof Day.
Since 2015, World Jollof Day has been celebrated on August 22 to highlight Jollof rice, a cuisine famous among West Africans also offered in other parts of the world.
In the meantime, YouTube has unveiled a series of initiatives to celebrate World Jollof Day.
