ABC News bigwigs have made the decision to take Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes off the air...calling the couple's relationship a distraction with the next steps to be taken by executives.
ABC sources tell TMZ…ABC News President Kim Godwin made the announcement during an editorial call Monday morning, calling the situation an “internal and external distraction.”< /p>

Kim also said the decision wasn't easy and not a violation of company policy, she added, "And so, I want to say that even though this relationship isn't It's not a violation of company policy, I've really taken the last few days to reflect and work on what I think is best for the ABC News organization."
She continued, "It's something I won't talk about, we won't talk about it on this call until there's more to say. I ask that we stop the whispering in hallways. You know, we can't function with gossip and speculation and rumours. We have to stay focused on the job."

Added: "If you think management needs to know something, you can always call HR or, as we said, speak to a manager you trust. If you think we need to know something thing."
