The group storms northeast for Tinubu-Shettima

A political group under the banner: The Tinubu National Alliance (TNA) this weekend stormed Gombe State to inaugurate its zone and state executive committees in support of the presidential candidacy of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

State Executive Committees inaugurated at the Guardian Hotels included those of Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Taraba and Borno States.

TNA National Coordinator Comrade Musa Shariff told the media that they wanted to convince the world that Tinubu's eventual victory next year would not be due to mistake or miscalculations other candidates but on the sheer popularity of his candidacy.

Describing Tinubu as the most salable candidate in the upcoming elections, he revealed that the group would concentrate its forces in the Northeast area for a convincing victory.

Justifying TNA's decision to focus more in the zone, he said, "We are close to winning the zone for APC vice-presidential candidate Kashim Shettima as well as show everyone that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar, is a paperweight politician."

He, however, urged young people of voting age to make sure they have their permanent voter card (PVC), lamenting that more than two million PVCs have not yet been collected at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), saying, "We will not only urge voters to collect their PVCs, but also convince them to vote for our candidate."

In the meantime, the group also presented two books on Asiwaju Tinubu. TNA General Secretary Valentine Ejeh along with other executive members introduced the books: "Lifetime Ambition - Compelling Reasons for Asiwaju Tinubu to be the Best Candidate for Election 2023 presidential election and a speech on the political life of Asiwaju Tinubu to journalists."

Meanwhile, a female APC politician, Ambassador Finney David, described Atiku as a disappointment and unfit for the presidency.

Finney told reporters that Atiku had been on trial for eight years as vice president but failed in the entire area.

According to her, Atiku's alleged inability to attract federal infrastructure to the Northeast has prompted many locals, especially APCs, to opt for someone else from the area, hoping that the senator Shettima would make the difference.

She said, "We believe so much in our principles; we all know that Tinubu is capable of pulling Nigeria out of the current situation and that Shettima, now in the same office that Atiku has held for eight years without any impact on development in the Northeast, would certainly make a difference.

“Atiku has been tried and tested but failed us for eight years, we want to test another person. Other than that, Atiku is not even up to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,” he said. she said. She however described the duo of Tinubu and Shettima as the best that could lead the country to the Promised Land.
