Guild Wars 2 End of Dragons Update 2 Arrives May 23
ArenaNet has revealed the release date for the second of a pair of free updates for End of Dragons owners, which will be available on Tuesday, May 23. Titled “What Lies Within,” players will be drawn into an intense quest to navigate their way out of the ominous abyss of Gyala Delve. Partnered with the Jade Brotherhood and armed with massive firepower, they are tasked with defeating the Ravenous Drifter, an enemy exposed in the game's February update, once and for all.
This gripping climax to the Guild Wars 2 map-wide meta-event of Gyala Delve isn't the update's only highlight. It also takes place alongside an enticing assortment of new rewards. Among those loot are a set of Special Ops armor, the Mining Hand Drill mace, the Xunlai Nephrite Crusher hammer, a mini phoenix and more, promising to amp up the thrill of the gaming experience.
As this story arc comes to a dramatic end, the update also infuses Cantha on the End of Dragon maps with a variety of brand new activities. Among these are exhilarating new adventures like Jade Bot drone mode collecting challenges, practicing accuracy tests on Siege Turtles, and high-speed skiff races. Additionally, jaw-dropping ambush events will begin to unfold, with the fearsome oni trailing players across the expanses of Cantha.

"After investigating disturbing rumors of a Jade Brotherhood mining operation, the Commander and his allies discover the source of the mine's bizarre occurrences. A wayward demon, found deep within the mine , uses his malevolent influence to torment his victims by manipulating their most vulnerable memories. Armed with the knowledge of this discovery and an invention designed to harness emotional energy, the Commander and his allies must confront their demons literally and figuratively to heal what's within."
