He's my friend - Thiago Silva names Brazil's best coach

Chelsea veteran defender Thiago Silva has urged Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti to fill the vacancy in Brazil's senior national team.

The Selecao have yet to hire a new coach following Tite's departure after the FIFA World Cup in December.

Brazil are planning to hire a foreign coach for the first time and Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho are at the top of the list.

Ancelotti and Silva worked together during their time at AC Milan and PSG.

"To be honest, I wish it was him, because of the friendship we have and the understanding," Silva told TJ Sports USA.

"He was my first coach in Europe, in Milan.

"I would like him to take the offer and have the team play the way he wants football to be played."
