Aaron Carter's housekeeper - who discovered his body - is a homeless woman he had taken in... TMZ has learned.
Family sources tell us...Aaron and his fiancée, Melanie Miller, traveled to Orange County last month for a few nights to visit their son, Prince...who is currently under the care of custody of Melanie's mother, as neither parent had physical custody of the child.

While at the CO we were told that Aaron and Melanie had heard of a possible burglary at their home...their front door was open and someone had left some cigarette butts .
Our sources say that upon their return to Lancaster, a friend urged them... to find someone to guard their house if/when they left. Turns out the friend had in mind a woman from his church... who happened to be homeless.

We were told that Melanie and Aaron had met her, and that they thought she was a good fit...so they brokered a deal where they would offer her free housing in exchange for watching the place. She also did odd jobs around the property.
As we reported...this is the same woman who found Aaron dead in his bathtub over the weekend and called 911
