The Labor Party has declared the masses of Nigeria its structure for the 2023 general election.
This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the party's national chairman, Julius Abure, and national secretary, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, issued at the end of the party's national leadership retreat in Abuja on Friday .
According to him, Nigeria is at a crossroads and the Labor Party is the only credible option for national salvation.
He said the retreat was organized to discuss crucial party issues, observations, proposals and resolutions relevant before 2023.
The statement said the retreat was not only significant but highly critical of the party in its resolve to deliver Nigeria as Nigerians were set to take back their country with the aim of national revival.
Nigeria News Agency quoted the statement as follows: "Across all regions and segments, the people have pledged to break with the old order and is ready to adopt a prosperity one with the Labor Party as a platform for convergence and a common vehicle to achieve it.
"The dispossessed and exploited people and masses of Nigeria are the structure of the party and should therefore be at the center of the party's continued struggle to save Nigeria.
