How Trolls Made Me Lose My Self-Esteem - Actor Taymesan

Nollywood actor, Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh aka Taymesan has recounted the traumatic bullying he suffered growing up.

The comedian said he was deceived to the point that his self-esteem was "on the floor".

He, however, said trolling inspired him to work hard on himself and become who he is now.

Taymesan appeared on the latest episode of The Nancy Isime Show alongside popular influencer, Enioluwa.

He said, "One of the things I've done over time is do a lot of work on myself. I don't think I've ever said that anywhere; but growing up I was really trolled. I was trolled to the point where my self-esteem was on the floor.

"So this is me coming to UNILAG as one of the most talented people in my school in Warri. And when I entered the school, I couldn't understand why they were trolling me. I really wanted to be a popular jingo, to be everyone's guy. But that didn't happen. So I was just doing church and just doing my schoolwork.

"But, you know, one of the things I'm very grateful for is that these things happen. Because it made me want to do more. If I was working on a scale of 100, I was doing 200. I had too much to prove. But my turning point was…UNILAG changed me, I can't even lie. And that's the first time I've ever said that anywhere."
