Huge Chelsea signing hasn't 'showed enough' and it could be 'a while before' his best appears

A reporter doesn't think expensive Chelsea signing Mykhaylo Mudryk has 'shown enough', but thinks 'it could be stopped for a while before' his best is presented.

Todd Boehly has sanctioned the signings of over £500m of players in just two transfer windows as Chelsea chairman. Indeed, 15 players walked through the gate for which the Blues paid a fee during that time.

Only one man – British record holder Enzo Fernandez – cost more than Shakhtar Donetsk's Mudryk. The Ukrainian winger's fee will reach around £88m with add-ons.

Given they paid that amount, the Blues were expecting big things. Although Mudryk has never played in any of the top five leagues, he has performed in Ukraine as well as in the Champions League.

In six European competitive appearances this season before heading to Stamford Bridge, the striker had scored three goals and set up two more.

As such, although he did not play at the same level as the Premier League, he had played against some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Chelsea are yet to see the talent Mudryk has shown for Shakhtar. In six games in all competitions, he has yet to make an impact forward and he has been dropped in the last two games.

A journalist thinks the transition has been difficult for him, but he will show his class.

"It must not be easy for him, really. I don't think he has shown enough yet and I think he will improve," he told GIVEMESPORT< /em>.

However, he thinks Chelsea might wait a bit before they can get the most out of the star.

"I think Chelsea fans obviously haven't seen the best of him yet, but I think it might be a while before we see the best of Mudryk," he added. /p>

"It's just a matter of how quickly he manages to adapt to his new surroundings."

The ideal scenario would be for Mudryk to find out as soon as possible. Of course, it's not like Chelsea don't have attacking talent beyond the Ukrainian.

They actually have a wealth of attacking talents - in the squad, apart from him, there are eight players who are classified as forwards, as well as a few more than can play in the front row.< /p>

However, having spent such a sum on a player who could have gone to a rival if he hadn't, they will want him to find his feet quickly, otherwise they will end up with an egg on the face and a hole in their pocket.
