“As a law-abiding citizen and government, we step aside to allow the law to take its course.

"We are confident that this period of temporary political eclipse will pass. The sun will shine again, brighter and warmer and the sustainable development and participatory governance we have inducted, which have been applauded by local organizations and international, will be restored and strengthened.

“Nothing can replace people-centred and development-minded governance in a democracy. massive equitable programs, are too strong to be uprooted.

"My dear brave people of Osun, I cannot thank you enough for not only supporting us throughout our tenure, but also for supporting us even after the July 16 election results. Your goodwill encouraged us to pursue all our projects until the last day.

“Let me recall here that in this first mandate, we have been able to deal with the fears and evil of fiscal indiscipline and lack of implementation, which hinder projects and services in the public service of the nation. This can be seen in the myriad of people-centered, mass-focused projects we've delivered for the people of the state to use during this first term.

"We have proven that infrastructure and economic development are achievable in a depressed economy and that stagnant development in a struggling economy is the product of intellectual laziness, lack of creativity, lack of innovation and lack of lack of political will.

“The commendable and people-centered projects that we have been able to achieve include the monthly feeding of 30,000 vulnerable people in Osun through Osun's food support program and financial support for the elderly and widows; the opening of the mining sector which attracted large investors to the state; reform of the education sector, including the recruitment of 2,500 teachers; revision of the single school uniform regime, among others, in accordance with the demand of the people; renovation of school buildings, distribution of educational materials to our students, provision of free education and free meals to them as well as training and retraining of our teachers to provide quality education to our children in order to improve their performance as leaders of tomorrow.< /p>

“In order to increase access to quality and equitable education at all levels with a view to empowering the citizens of Osun to realize their full potential, we have transformed the Osun State College of Education, Ilesa, into a full-fledged University of Ilesa, with world-class funding strategies that would not put unnecessary pressure on state finances; the repair of the Asubiaro State Specialty Hospital and equipping it with state-of-the-art equipment, where we have built a 120-bed ward and 30 housing units for doctors; rehabilitation of the general hospitals of Ejigbo and Ifetedo; we have also instituted the health insurance scheme of Osun to provide affordable health care...
