"I've never opened the code for FTX": SBF has a long candid conversation with the vlogger

The disgraced former head of the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange tells his side of the story in candid but occasional interviews inarticulate.

'I never opened the code for FTX': SBF has long, candid talk with vlogger New

Former FTX head Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) tapped cryptocurrency vlogger Tiffany Fong for a series of long and candid phone interviews. In the two interviews that had been posted on YouTube at press time, SBF addresses many of the key issues surrounding FTX's collapse.

This set the tone for the rest of the conversation, in which Fong politely asked tough questions and SBF responded with apparent openness.

SBF then commented on FTX's FTT coin. “I think it had real value. That being said, there are a few issues. […] It was f*****g embarrassing given my background. […] I think it was basically more legit than a lot of tokens in some ways. It was more economically backed than the average token,” he said.

“Illiquidity did not cause the crash,” SBF continued. It was more like "le mas...
