I promised not to go home until I became a millionaire - Candy Bleakz

Rising Nigerian singer, Blessing Mariam Akiode, better known as Candy Bleakz, has revealed that after running away from home at the age of 16, she vowed never to return until until she becomes a millionaire.

The Chocolate City signee revealed this during an appearance on Channels TV show, Rubbin' Minds, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

She said, "When I left home, I left with a mindset, 'I'm leaving home to feed home.' the house with the big bags. So I communicate [with my family] but I didn't want to go home. Because you who have left the house for a long time, for you to go home, the brothers and sisters are there, family, what people think, what people see online, they think that person has trillions in your account. So to get home, I really had to have enough bags [of money]. But I communicated."

Candy Bleakz revealed that she recently reunited with her family.

The "Wole" crooner said her parents were proud of her and the profession she chose.

She said they didn't know she was a singer until she was in the spotlight.
