Ilorin court returns three alleged kidnappers
Three suspected armed kidnappers have been remanded to Ilorin Correctional Center.
These are Bature Seriki, Lawal Jamiu and Fatimoh Anaruwa.
The suspects, according to the Police First Information Report, FIR, abducted a Biliaminu who came from Lagos in Kwara State with four of his friends for a burial ceremony.
The five abductees were taken to thick forest in Aboto village near Afon, Asa Local Government Area in Kwara State.
However, the efforts of a combined team of police, vigilantes and local hunters yielded successful results leading to the arrest of the suspects in the bush.
Zacchaeus Folorunsho, the police officer in charge of the prosecution, asked the court by a motion to remand the suspects in custody for the alleged offense against them.
Magistrate Ibrahim Dasuki, in his decision, granted the request, dismissed the suspects and adjourned the case until August 29, 2022 for further mention.
