President-elect Bola Tinubu, who left the country on March 21 for Paris on vacation after a turbulent campaign and election season, returned to the country on Monday.
A statement from his media assistant, Tunde Rahman, revealed that his manager was received by associates and supporters who crowded the presidential wing of Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, where his plane has landed.
The president-elect was accompanied by his wife, Senator Remi, and his son, Seyi.
Addressing the tumultuous crowd that followed him home, the president-elect said: "I am happy to be back. I have rested, I am invigorated and I am ready for the task ahead. waiting for me.
"Forget what rumor has told you. I am strong, very strong."
Asked about his plans for the country, he said he has been consulting and planning to build a strong team so he can kick off as soon as he takes office on May 29.

Among those present at the airport to receive him were Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima, Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila as well as Governors Simon Lalong (Plateau) and Abubakar Sani-Bello (Niger) , former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff.
