Imo East: PDP questions competence of APC and LP candidates

The Imo State People's Democratic Party (PDP) has reprimanded candidates from the Imo East Senatorial District of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the ruling Labor Party (LP) for lack of plan or one-line manifesto for the position, which they desperately seek the mandate of the people.

The PDP, in a statement released Friday by its publicity secretary, Collins Opurozor, noted that the APC and LP candidates had become a huge embarrassment to the political space.

The opposition party said they wanted power for fun, for glory and enjoyment, adding that creating a land fiefdom was the main motive.

PDP further stated that he only knew what he wanted, power, but he knew nothing about what the people wanted.

The statement reads: "These unpopular candidates do not know that politics has grown beyond slogans and razzmatazz, and our people are now more informed and more insightful. These men, by their incompetence and their lack of manifestos, have continued to take the people for granted. This is provocative!

“All they plan is how to buy votes, so they can continue to perpetuate the underdevelopment of the land. But the God of Owerri Zone neither sleeps nor slumbers. "have never stopped insulting the people. And our people must now be prepared to pay them back with their own currency at the polls and end up shaming them."

The DPP praised its candidate, Hon. Uche Onyeagucha, on the occasion of the public presentation of his manifesto.
