An urban explorer has made chilling discoveries inside an abandoned morgue that has preserved the 'strangeness of the dead who were dealt with here.

Photos taken by urban explorer Macorlee Farnaby, 26, from Suffolk, show a decaying morgue intact with items including a table, hanging apron, gloves, body salt, an old box of air freshener, plaster oxide tape, a bucket, and a blood sink among other morbid equipment.< /p>

Mr. Farnaby, a support worker, used his skills and passion to discover this untouched derelict building just outside Hull in East Yorkshire.

He walked through overgrown fields and hedgerow-covered areas to reach this place whose door refused to budge even after several attempts, but eventually found an open space where a window had been removed.

Mr. Farnaby said that upon entering the morgue he was "stricken with the smell of death".

'It was as if we weren't alone but that we were being watched by someone. The apron was still hanging, the gloves and cleaning brush almost ready to use. I felt like I was in a horror movie,” he said.
