The video below from iAppleBytes tests the new iOS 16.1 software update against the previous version, iOS 16.0.3.

Speed ​​tests are run on a number of iPhones, including iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone XR, and iPhone 8. Let's see if there are any speed improvements.

As we can see from the video, the iPhone 13 booted at almost exactly the same time on both software versions, there doesn't seem to be any speed improvement in apps.

When testing with the iPhone 12, the device running the new iOS 16.1 software update started up slightly faster, there is no noticeable speed improvement in apps.

With the test on the iPhone 11, the handset running the new iOS 16.1 software also started up faster. The apps looked pretty much the same for both versions of the software.

When testing with the iPhone XR, the handset running the latest iOS software was the faster of the two to boot up, there was no improvement in app speed.

In the final iPhone 8 test, both devices seemed to boot up at the same time, there was no speed improvement in apps.
