Isa Guha launches Got Your Back initiative to support women and girls in cricket

Guha, an Anglo-Asian who has played eight Tests, 83 domestic one-day interna and 22 Twenty20s for England before moving to broadcast, will lead a digital-focused campaign called Got Your Back which aims to empower through inclusivity and diversity. p>

This is a key initiative for Guha's non-profit organization Take Her Lead, founded in September 2022 and endorsed by the England and Wales Cricket Board.

< p class="" data-reactid =".16407jesmsw.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-4">"We want cricket to be an inclusive, positive and engaging experience for every woman and girl," the young woman said 37 years old.

"But we also heard about the challenges along the way. The stories of girls who feel isolated in the game.

"We want girls to know that we see, we're all part of the same team, and together we can change the game for good."

England captain Heather Knight also showed her support for the initiative: "Cricket has changed a lot for girls, but there are still a lot of hurdles that I can relate to growing up, including the being the only girl in an all-male team.

"It's important that these young girls have role models and people who can look out for them and make them feel like someone has their back."
