Julia Louis-Dreyfus and son Charlie Hall opt for classic glamor at the White House State Dinner

Julia Louis-Dreyfus arrived at the White House for a state dinner on Monday wearing a elegant black evening dress.

At the dinner in honor of French President Emmanuel Macron, the actress wore a bare back without black velvet sleeves- neckline dress by Monique Lhuillier. She accessorized with a black evening clutch and jewelry, including a gold bracelet and gold chandelier earrings. She finished the look with a pair of black pumps.

Louis-Dreyfus was accompanied by her son Charlie Hall, who wore a classic black and white tuxedo to wear with a black bow tie and black lace-up shoes. Hall is racking up his own share of acting credits with roles on his resume, including such TV series as "Bel Air," "Love, Victor," and "The Sex Lives of College Girls."

For makeup, Louis-Dreyfus opted for an evening-ready look, including a rouge with matte lips, rosy pink smokey blush eyeshadow and eye-popping mascara. She had her hair parted in the center and let it cascade down her back in a wavy style.

Louis-Dreyfus may not be a politician herself, but one of her most notable TV roles was in TV show "Veep", where she played fictional Vice President Selina Meyer. The role earned Louis-Dreyfus six consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Her character "Veep" is considered by many to be a fashion trendsetter. Her fashion choices were so popular that after the show's finale, costumes were auctioned off, including bodycon dresses, designer handbags and shoes.

The White House State Dinner in Honor of Macron marked the first dinner in state of the Biden presidency. The dinner was an opportunity to work on key relations with France, a major American ally. The event brought together many civil servants and political staff interested in establishing relations with France.
