A statement from Kaduna State NULGE Chairman Rayyanu Isyaku Turunku said the rejection of the bill was a setback for real grassroots development in the state and country.
>He added that this was contrary to assurances and promises made to the union, saying that the union's National Executive Board would review the matter at the appropriate time and take a position.
DAILY POST recalls that the bill was recently considered by the State Assembly alongside other bills received from the National Assembly, but failed to pass despite many other bills, including those on the financial autonomy of the judiciary and the state assembly, were passed.
