The People's Democratic Party Kaduna State Deputy Governor candidate, John Ayuba, has urged residents of the state to register for their permanent voter cards.

Ayuba made the call on Monday during a discussion with the Southern Kaduna Journalists Forum in the state.

During parliament, he assured the masses that the postmen who played against their chances in 2019 will not be allowed to rear their ugly heads in the 2023 general election.

He said that although the PDP performed well in the 2019 general election, there are shortcomings that the party is making serious efforts to correct in the next election cycle.

Ayuba commended those who did not yet have PVCs for coming in droves to register and urged those who have not yet to take advantage of the INEC expansion to get the theirs, in order to participate in the election of those who will strengthen democratic values.

According to him, the PDP as an opposition party will show more sagacity, tact and articulation in its campaign strategy to ensure that it seizes power by force from the ruling party who applied all kinds of inhumane policies.

Ayuba, a financial expert, has promised to shore up the 800,000 votes the party won in the 2019 general elections in southern Kaduna region to give an edge over the ruling party.

Commenting on youth inclusion, he noted that the administration will give young people a sense of belonging if they emerge victorious at the polls.

Ayuba explained that the PDP has since learned from its past mistakes where youth and women have not been given the percentage needed to participate in governance, therefore, change will be made in the future.

He thanked his manager for nominating him for vice president and pledged to continue to use his wealth of experience, to move the party forward and relieve his people of the state.

"I want our people to be strategic in thinking and choosing candidates by checking whether the candidate they support has the ability to win elections at the polls," Ayuba said.

He exposed how the Congress-led administration of all progressives in the state and federal government has failed miserably to keep the people safe, which has left the masses powerless.

While answering a question about his party's readiness to convince people to vote for his party, Dr. John Ayuba pointed out that the masses are already tired and waiting for the PDP to seize power and restore their hope lost.
