Keke Ogungbe appointed lead judge for Naija Star Search Music Reality Show

Legendary Nigerian music producer Kenny "Keke" Ogungbe is about to strike gold in the Nigerian music scene for the second time.

Having managed to make a significant impact with his music Kennis, AIT Jamz, and later Primetime Africa Jamz, Ogungbe is poised to shape a new generation of Nigerian musical acts who will reign supreme on the world stage.

The Kennis FM CEO will showcase his accomplishments, experiences and overall knowledge of the music industry when he joins the music reality show as head judge.

He said, "It's a joy to see Africa setting standards in mainstream music across the world. The history that we have created as Africans, especially Kennis Music, is one of the important pioneers in the evolution of afrobeats, is truly invaluable.

“History is incomplete without mentioning some of our artists who played a leading role in bringing this great height to fruition. The likes of 2baba, Dbanj, JJC Skills, Sound Sultan and many more are known across the world, not only imprint Afrobeats gold in the hearts of many, both at home and abroad, but also make Nigeria proud.

"It has also opened up opportunities for today's young Nigerians who are doing well in music, with the likes of Burna Boy, who is not only nominated for a Grammy, but bringing it back to us.< /p>

“That joy for me transcends just being a part of history, but also being able to give platforms to young Nigerians with great talent to showcase themselves.

“So, in July, we are introducing Naija Star Search. Naija Star Search is a reality show aimed at discovering the next generation of Afrobeat superstars, courtesy of StarTimes.”

An affordable pay-TV company, StarTime, powers the Naija Star Search Reality Show. Naija Star Search Audition ends July 17 at www.naijastarsearch.com with a N10 million prize and other consolation prizes.
