Kelly Clarkson enjoys mother-daughter date with River at People's Choice Awards
Kelly Clarkson had a mother-daughter night out with her 8-year-old daughter, River Rose Blackstock, at the People's Choice Awards on Dec. 6. 2022 show, she gave River a shoutout, adding that she misses her 6-year-old son, Remington Alexander Blackstock.
“I have a date with my daughter,” she said after thanking her fans for voting for the show. "And Remi, I know you're home, you're not feeling well, but we love you. That's really cool to have." In response, River said "I love you" to her mother during Clarkson's speech. Amid Shania Twain's mix of epic performances earlier in the night, the adorable couple were also seen dancing to the music. Clarkson wore a bright red dress covered in ruffles, while River looked adorable in a sequined rainbow dress and carried a small Gucci handbag.
The three-time Grammy winner shares River and Remington with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, whom she married in 2013. River was born in 2014, while Remington arrived in 2016. Clarkson has filed for divorce of her husband of almost seven years. years old in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences, although the two continue to co-parent their children.
