“Kerbal Space Program 2” finally arrives on February 24

It's almost three years late, but the Kerbal Space Program 2 is almost here, provided you don't mind a few rough edges. Private Division has revealed that the sequel to its rocket-building game will be available on February 24 as an Early Access release through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and other online stores. The new title includes a series of content and feature updates, but its biggest improvement may be ease of use - it might be worth a look if you were put off by the learning curve of the original.

KSP2 features "completely redesigned" vehicle assembly and flying interfaces that the developers say are more beginner-friendly without removing the challenge. Newcomers also see tutorial animations. Add a new maneuver planner and more usable time warp (now an option when speeding up) and the game should feel less intimidating, not to mention less monotonous on long rides.

Whatever your skill level, the range will be much wider. The initial release will include new environments with more detailed atmospheres and terrain, as well as new spaceflight technology with customizable parts. Later you will see many more. KSP2 will finally add interstellar travel, and you can build colonies with habitats and space stations. Multiplayer is also on the roadmap for friends who want to either cooperate in space exploration or outdo each other.

The new game will only be available on PC during Early Access, and it is uncertain if the final version will be ready. The first Kerbal Space Program took four years to emerge from its pre-launch phase, so you might be waiting longer if you're a console fan or just want a neat product.< / p>
