The victim, in a video that went viral on Thursday, said he boarded a commercial bus to the Iyana-Oworo area of ​​the state, but during the trip, discovered that it had fallen into the hands of suspected kidnappers.

He said, "I got on a bus heading for Iyana Oworo and noticed this weird smell. Anyone who's been in a military training or setting knows the gases that knock people off. I knew that was it, so I spat into my handkerchief and used it to cover my nose.

"In about five to 10 minutes, everyone else on the bus had fallen asleep, except for the crew members, who all used nose masks to cover themselves the nose."< /p>

"So we started exchanging words. I wasn't rude or anything, but I begged them for my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S22 which costs 1.3 million naira and could still be sold for 800,000 naira.”

The victim said he also offered them his ATM card to empty his account as well as his gold necklace, but they refused to let him off the bus until until they got to where he would be killed and his body dismembered.

He said: "The bus then parked in a dark lane under the Adeniji bridge before taking me out. They started using cutlasses, knives and different weapons against me. I am an African man and I am fortified. When they found out that knives, daggers and cutlasses did not cut my body, about three of them held my neck and two more held my hands behind my back and they put a knife to my neck to slaughter me but it didn't penetrate.”

The man said that when the attempt to shoot him failed, the suspects' leader, who spoke Hausa, ordered three men in army uniforms to start using their boots to hit his head while lying on the ground.

In the video, the victim, whose face was swollen and could be seen coughing up blood as he claimed to be bleeding from the inside, said he nearly passed out during the attack. attack.
