Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has hailed left-back Alejandro Balde for his impressive performance against Elche.
Balde registered two assists as Barcelona beat Elche 3-0 in a La Liga draw at Camp Nou.
The 18-year-old has made five appearances for Barcelona this season and has provided three assists for his teammates.
His emergence has seen experienced defender Jordi Alba benched for most of the season so far.
However, Xavi said Balde never ceases to amaze him, adding that he has confidence and personality.
"I saw that they do a lot of individual marking, and Balde can generate superiorities inside and out.
“It never ceases to amaze me that an 18-year-old boy is at this level. He has a lot of confidence and personality, he has excellent physical condition and he is going to give us a lot,” Xavi said (via Diario Sport).
