Lotus Evija Fittipaldi limited edition unveiled

Lotus have announced a limited edition version of their Evija, the Lotus Evija Fittipaldi and the car celebrates 50 years since racing legend Emerson Fittipaldi and Team Lotus won the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships of F1.

The Lotus Evija Fittipaldi comes with a range of upgrades over the standard car, only 8 cars are being built and they are all sold.

Exactly 50 years later, the Lotus Evija Fittipaldi is a fitting celebration of that partnership. Only eight examples of the all-electric two-seater are hand-built at Hethel in Norfolk, UK - the world headquarters of Lotus sports car design and manufacturing - and all are sold. Deliveries to customers will begin early next year. It's the latest project from Lotus Advanced Performance, the company's bespoke and experiential design division that launched earlier this year.

Featuring the world famous black and gold color scheme - also 50 years old in 2022 - the hand painted exterior and many other unique design features have been created to commemorate this incredible collaboration. They include a hand-tinted plan view of the Type 72 etched on the exposed carbon fiber roof and Fittipaldi's signature hand-stitched on the dashboard.

And perhaps the most touching detail of all is the rotating dial on the floating center dash. It has been handcrafted from recycled sourced Type 72 aluminium, ensuring that a genuine piece of the iconic F1 driver is part of every Evija Fittipaldi.
