Maikaba to be named new head coach of Kano Pillars

Abdul Maikaba is set to return to Kano Pillars as head coach of the four-time Nigerian Premier League champions.

Maikaba was an assistant coach at Pillars during his early years in football management.

The experienced tactician led Rangers for two years before stepping down at the end of last season.

DAILY POST has learned that negotiations between Maikaba and Pillars are already at an advanced stage.

Maikaba is expected to take charge of Sai Masu Gida next week.

Kano Pillars announced on Friday the dismissal of its technical team.

The club earned promotion to the NPL in the Nigerian National League Super Eight qualifiers earlier this month.
