Maker Faire Louisville returns to center stage

Shelved for two years due to the global pandemic, Louisville Maker Faire will return on Saturday, September 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The free event will be held at the Swain Student Activities Center at the University of Louisville, 2100 S. Floyd St. a thriving arts scene that is growing in our city and region,” said Grace Simrall, Head of Office of Civic Innovation and Technology for the Louisville Metropolitan Government.

The Louisville Maker Faire aligns with UofL's strategic goals, said UofL Acting President Lori Stewart Gonzalez. "The UofL and Louisville Maker Faire share a common goal: to apply creativity and innovation to meet current and future needs," Gonzalez said. “At UofL, we focus our research and scholarship efforts on three grand challenges – Empowering our Communities, Advancing our Health, and Engineering our Future Economy – knowing that the solutions we find will make a difference and create a prosperous future for Louisville, for Kentucky and for the world. Louisville Maker Faire, and the designers it draws attention to, do the same. We're proud to once again host the Louisville Maker Faire and we're excited to have it back."
