Okasanmi said, "The command would like to inform the general public that the efforts of the police and other security personnel deployed in the search and rescue operation for a citizen Chinese abducted by gunmen on 3/7/2022 from CGC Construction Company along Shao/Oloru highway has yielded positive results.

"The pressure exerted on the kidnappers by the rescue teams became so intense that the criminals could not stand the heat, forcing them to abandon the victim and escape to save their Police and tactical teams deployed for the operation are still in the bushes in an effort to arrest the criminals to face justice.

“Meanwhile, the rescued Chinese citizen is currently undergoing a medical examination to check his condition before being reunited with his family. »

In a separate development, Okasanmi also said police arrested a man suspected of being a ritualist with human heads and animal parts in Ilorin, the state capital.

"Based on actionable intelligence, eagle-eyed officers attached to Kwara State Police Command have apprehended suspected ritualists whose business is to buy, barter and make trafficking in human body parts. They transported human skulls from Lagos State to Ilorin and proceeded to Balogun Fulani Motor Park at Ilorin South LGA of the State.

"Based on the information, the team arrested a 41-year-old Ibrahim Hamza 'm' from the Orisunbare district of Okolowo, Ilorin, who had previously received the parcel from the fleet. During from a discreet search carried out on him, a human skull concealed in a cardboard box with his name and telephone number written on it was recovered.
