Mojang Studios has announced that it will not support NFTs in Minecraft, the company has now clarified its position on NFTs.

So basically NFTs won't be allowed in Minecraft, you can see the official word from Mojang Studios below, the company says NFTs create exclusion and scarcity.

In our Minecraft Usage Guidelines, we outline how a server owner can charge for access, and that all players should have access to the same functionality. We have these rules to ensure that Minecraft remains a community where everyone has access to the same content. NFTs, however, can create scarcity and exclusion patterns that conflict with our guidelines and the spirit of Minecraft.

In order to ensure a safe and inclusive experience for Minecraft players, blockchain technologies are not permitted to be integrated into our client and server applications, nor are Minecraft game content such as worlds, skins, personality items or other mods, be used by blockchain technology to create a rare digital asset. Our reasons follow.

Thus, to ensure Minecraft players have a safe and inclusive experience, blockchain technologies are not allowed to be integrated into our Minecraft client and server applications, nor can they be used to create related NFTs to any game content, including worlds, skins, personality items, or other mods. We will also pay close attention to how blockchain technology evolves over time to ensure that the above principles are not adhered to and whether this will enable more secure experiences or other convenient and inclusive applications in games. However, we have no plans to implement blockchain technology in Minecraft at this time.
