Mukiele bids farewell to RB Leipzig ahead of Paris Saint-Germain move

Nordi Mukiele has thanked RB Leipzig in a social media post as he closes in on a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The versatile defender joined Leipzig in 2018 from Montpellier and made 80 Bundesliga appearances for them over a four-year spell.

Mukiele is now set to join PSG, with the 24-year-old's transfer set to materialize in the coming days. The deal would cost up to 16 million euros.

On Monday, the 24-year-old posted a video on his Instagram account, along with a farewell message to Leipzig.

The message read: "I wanted to thank you for everything you have done for me. You have made me feel [at home] since the very first day I arrived and it is with [a] heavy heart that I'm leaving today.

"I want to thank everyone involved at the club who help us achieve our goals every day. To my brothers on the pitch, let's keep this legacy alive.

"To the coaches and staff I had during these four seasons: THANK YOU. With you, I discovered the highest levels of football.

"Today I am a better player but also a better human being and I was able to achieve some of my personal dreams also thanks to you."

PSG have also been linked with a move for Inter Milan centre-back Skriniar.
