Netflix's 'Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich' will explore the 'monster behind the monster'

The story of Ghislaine Maxwell is now the subject of another documentary. The socialite, who aided Jeffrey Epstein in his crimes, was previously featured in a Starz documentary titled "Who Is Ghislaine Maxwell?" — and now her story is getting the Netflix treatment.

Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison in June on charges related to sex trafficking and interstate transportation of minors. A former girlfriend and later friend of Epstein, she played a key role in recruiting minors whom Epstein sexually abused, according to The New York Times. She is currently incarcerated in Tallahassee, Florida, according to ABC News.

The upcoming documentary, titled 'Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich', follows the 2020 documentary 'Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich'. Director Lisa Bryant is back for the Maxwell film.
