New Jersey mall goes wild for MrBeast Burger opening

MrBeast's burger sale went down on Sunday, and the grand opening brought in thousands of people, according to the BBC.

MrBeast, 24, is a YouTuber (real name Jimmy Donaldson) who started making videos at the age of 13 and became the "YouTube royalty" while amassing over 100 million subscribers. In his videos, he organizes contests and distributes large sums of money.

The burger company started two years ago as a traveling ghost kitchen, where people could cook, sell and deliver the branded burgers.

But its first physical outpost opened in New Jersey on Sunday, according to NorthJersey.com.

The outlet reported that the mall was packed with people, "some holding signs or carrying MrBeast products, the queue winding everywhere."

It was pretty chaotic online too.

Several people also told Mashable why they went to the mall to buy a Beast burger. A few people slept at the mall the night before or stayed up all night.

"The atmosphere in the mall was overwhelming but a positive feeling. Half the stores were closed all day and there didn't seem to be anyone who wasn't there for MrBeast," said another person at the point of sale.< /p>

But it didn't go over well with everyone. The mall was a scene of "chaos and confusion," wrote Rolling Stone that "[brought] out the worst in everyone."
