World's Smartest Nigerians - Akon
Senegalese-American singer, Akon, has said that Nigerians are arguably the "smartest people" in the world.
The "Oh Africa" crooner made the claim during an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast co-hosted by N.O.R.E and DJ EFN.
He claimed that more billionaires are being made in Nigeria than anywhere in the world.
Akon, however, admitted that there are some "bad apples" tarnishing the country's image.
He said, “It might be debatable, but Nigerians are the smartest people on the planet. I promise you, there is no one smarter than a Nigerian. has a few bad apples that have come out. They [the bad apples] are extremely smart. But they put their smarts in the wrong place.
"If they were to steer this towards something more positive or productive...Because those who did, there are more billionaires making it in Nigeria than anywhere in the world."
