Nintendo is bringing back discounted game vouchers for Switch Online subscribers

You can save money if you plan to buy at least two sets.

Don't worry if you missed Nintendo's vouchers for games of 2019: they're back. The company is once again giving away a pair of $100 vouchers to Switch Online subscribers. If you buy two eligible $60 games, it could save you $10 on each. Needless to say, it could help you land a deal for a blockbuster like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom even when it's brand new.

There are conditions beyond the limited catalog. You must use the vouchers within one year, so you cannot keep them in perpetuity. You also cannot hold more than eight at a time. However, you get My Nintendo Gold Points equal to five percent of what you pay. Nintendo does not say if or when the good ones will be

There is no secret behind the voucher strategy. Nintendo is clearly hoping that not only will you join Switch Online, but that you commit to buying multiple games where you might have only bought one. Still, it's hard to ignore the value. Even a single set of vouchers can recoup the cost of Switch Online if you had already planned to buy games. In theory, you could quickly build up a collection of major titles while saving a significant amount of money.
