No official date for public holidays yet – Ministry of the Interior

The Home Office has denied dates purportedly posted online as official holiday dates.

In a statement to the DAILY POST on Saturday, Director of Press and Public Relations Afonja Fatai Ajibola denied the new trends allegedly credited to the ministry on the announcement of holidays for the Christmas party.

"The Department of the Interior wishes to state categorically that the trend story is not true, as the federal government has yet to officially declare a holiday," he said.< /p>

He advised members of the public not to view the trending statement as fake news and to wait for an official public announcement on the matter in the coming days.
