Obidients land Kebbi, aims for a million votes for LP in 2023

We know Christians won't vote for candidates, says Kaduna CAN

Supporters of Labor Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi shut down Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State yesterday, seeking support to bolster the Obi-Datti ticket in the state.

The event, held at Kamba Hall, with a large number of Obidients from all tribes and religions, was attended by LP National Secretary Umar Ibrahim; officials from the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC), Kebbi Chapter; movements for Obi and other LP candidates, among others.

According to Kebbi NLC Chairman, Umar Haliru, who was the main animator, LP came to rescue Nigerians from their current sorry state, adding that the party belongs to NLC and knows no religion or tribe.

LP scribe Ibrahim expressed his satisfaction with the turnout for Obi-Datti's presidential bid. He said that Peter Obi, once elected, would stabilize the country, ensure responsible government free from nepotism and repair the economic and security situation as well as other sectors of the country.

LP will get the lion's share of the country's 89 million votes, he boasted, adding, "We need a country where every citizen sleeps peacefully, where every child goes to school. "

Meanwhile, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State Chapter, said Christians have not decided who to vote for in the 2023 presidential election, but have decided for who not to vote, so as not to divide the nation.

The President, Reverend John Hayab, revealed this Sunday evening during a “special prayer and political/security service” in Kaduna.

The event, held at the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) English Service, Sobon Tasha, was organized by Kaduna CAN to inform and guide Christians under its care on contemporary issues.< /p>

Hayab explained that Christians have agreed not to vote for Muslim-Muslim tickets in 2023.

According to him, Nigeria is facing all kinds of dangerous inhumane activities and challenges of insecurity, fueled by nepotism, which have drawn so many complaints from different quarters.

He said, “Ahead of 2023, Nigeria is going through a terrible challenge of insecurity and division across the country. Nigerians have complained about the kind of nepotism we find in the way leadership is constituted in this countries. These are the main sensitive issues that cause all these cries; that we want this or that balance, here and there.

“Because of nepotism, we have incompetent people running Nigeria or doing things that are very important for Nigeria, which does not help us. Nigerians therefore say they want capable and inclusive leaders who understand their aspirations and can achieve them. Nigeria belongs to all, regardless of area, tribe or religion,” he said. Over 50 pastors and church leaders have participated in the program.
