Osun Election: PDP Responds to Oyetola's Petition, Calls on Court to Dismiss Case
The Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) has responded to the petition filed by Governor Gboyega Oyetola before the Governor's Electoral Petitions Tribunal.
Governor Oyetola, who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) nominee, is challenging the result of the July 16 gubernatorial election in court.
Oyetola and APC claimed that there was excessive voting in some local government areas of the state in the gubernatorial ballot.
Chairman of the Interim Committee, Osun PDP, Dr. Adekunle Akindele, in his response, asked the Electoral Court to dismiss Oyetola's petition, describing it as frivolous, baseless and baseless.
He noted that Adeleke had been duly declared the winner, stating that there were no overvotes in any of the voting units challenged by Oyetola and his APC
Maintaining that the election was free, fair and credible without any iota of non-compliance with the Elections Act of 2022, the PDP said the allegations listed in Oyetola's petition are flawed and imaginary.
