The Osun court will sit on Saturdays and public holidays
THE Osun State Electoral Claims Tribunal, hearing Governor Gboyega Oyetola's suit against Ademola Adeleke's declaration as governor-elect, has declared itself ready to sit on Saturdays and holidays, as part of efforts to close the deal on time.
The chairman of the panel, Judge Tertsea Kume, during Monday's court session, said: "All documentary evidence pleaded will be removed from the bar and any objections against it will be referred to their final addresses, while the time agreed by the parties for the testimony of witnesses will be maintained.
He added that "the court will begin sitting at 10:00 a.m. Monday to Friday and will close for the day at 4:00 p.m., except on Friday when the court will close proceedings at 1:00 p.m.
"The court will also sit on Saturdays and holidays as the circumstances require."
Judge Kume adjourned the start of the full hearing until October 2.
