More than 500 Decagon technology graduates employed worldwide

Africa's leading tech talent institute, Decagon, established in 2018 to enable outstanding young Nigerians to launch world-class software engineering careers, has now graduated over 500 developers who are employed on a paid basis by top companies around the world.

According to Founder and CEO, Chika Nwobi, this is the first major step in pursuing the institute's mission to make Nigeria one of the top 10 engineering nations software in the world.

Nwobi said this during an institute dinner and awards ceremony held in Lagos to celebrate the milestone of activating more than 500 DecaDevs.

The tech guru said the Decagon institute has graduated 10 cohorts with over 500 software engineers now working in multinational corporations like Indeed, JP Morgan, Microsoft, Sterling, RenMoney, MaxNG and Carbon, among others.

Underlining the need to be trained by the technological institute, Nwobi affirmed that DecaDevs are developers who have been equipped by Decagon with various skills to function optimally in the technological sector.< /p>

He, however, praised Sterling Bank for believing in Decagon and investing in young Nigerians as a strategic partner for student loans.

"We want the brightest to have access to this life-changing opportunity regardless of their ability to pay, so we provide housing, food, stipends, laptops and a training on a learn-and-pay principle - later model We equip DecaDevs to land jobs at top companies and are proud of them for the 100% success rate and faithful repayment of their loans .
